Becoming Open to a New Belief
Dear Beautiful One,
It’s not only a new year, it’s the beginning of a new decade. What that reveals is that time passes whether we pay attention to it or not. I prefer to pay attention so I can make the most out of this precious life I have. I see the newness as a way to begin again, like with a new journal, a blank canvas, or a clean slate. I see the newness as a way to see things differently, to experience life in a heightened way.
Becoming open to a new belief.
What in the world does that mean? How do you “become open” to a new belief? That statement went round and round in my head and then I read about allowing ourselves to realize that there are a lot of beliefs we have that are basically an habitual way of thinking.
It happens with groups of people we embrace, policies we implement, and attitudes we espouse. I’m not saying there is anything wrong with this, or that anyone’s beliefs are wrong. I’m saying that sometimes we walk around in our beliefs because those around us do.
Becoming open to a new belief could be a beautiful way to see yourself as the unique and special person that you are. Becoming open to a new belief could free you from a discomfort that you’ve hidden, buried, or shoved down so you could fit in, but it never felt quite right. Becoming open to a new belief could be becoming open to a new you.
Have you ever wondered why you didn’t feel as worthy as you wished? Have you ever cried because you didn’t feel *good enough*? Have you ever wanted to love yourself for who you are and not need to get other people to validate you? I have, and I’ve found a way to think differently.
If you want to explore this a little more, click here for a 1-2 minute read called “Operating Beliefs Basics”. This one page (no email required) will help you see a little better how your beliefs can shift a little at a time to help you move in a direction that’s more aligned with who you want to be.
My wish for you, Beautiful One, is for you to see you have the freedom, the right, the permission, to change the beliefs you currently hold to having greater, more dynamic, more loving beliefs.
Huge hugs and big love,
